Girls Soccer Triumphs – Advances to State Tournament
TEMPLE — Liberty Christian advanced to its third straight state tournament with a 3-0 win over San Antonio Christian on Saturday.
Leah Cox had a goal and an assist in the win, assisting on Abbey Talbot’s goal 25 minutes into the half and scoring a back-breaking unassisted goal with a minute left in the first half.
Karly Evans scored in the second half. Liberty faces Dallas Parish Episcopal at 3 p.m. on Friday in San Antonio in the state semifinals. If Liberty wins, the team will play for the state title on Saturday.
