Warrior Baseball in Playoffs Saturday
The Warrior baseball team is entering the most exciting time of the season as they enter into the TAPPS 1-4A baseball playoffs.
“Playoff season is a very familiar place for this group of Warriors who enter into the race as the defending state champions,” said Johnny Isom, head baseball coach.
The Warriors come into the playoffs with very positive momentum as they finished the district race with four straight big district victories.
“We outscored our district opponents over that four-game stretch by a score of 39-6, and these stats allowed us to finish third in a very tough district,” said Isom.
The third place finish puts the Warriors in an important first round matchup with the Chargers of Dallas Christian at the Chargers’ home field this Saturday, May 1, at 1 p.m.
