Liberty President Rodney Haire has completed his first book, “Called to the Principal’s Office,” and it offers a candid look at his trials, tribulations, and triumphs of running a school.

President Dr. Rodney Haire

“The book says what is on most everyone’s mind regarding the quality of education in America,” Haire said. “We should have the finest educational system in the world, one that provides a great and memorable experience for our children.

“I share what I believe were the essential factors that made our school great, including my trusted teachers, administrators, and board members who made the hard decisions,” he said.

Haire hopes that every school administrator across the country will read and learn from the lessons he learned along the way. The book, however, was also written for teachers, board members, and parents.

“Parents have the responsibility to provide the best education possible for their children,” said Haire. His goal is that parents find that kind of education for their children at Liberty.

In his humorous writing approach, Haire describes advice for administrators, insight for parents, wisdom for teachers, and directives for board members. His approach is authentic and “gut-level.”

Haire admits that he is not a “politically correct kind of guy.” In the book, he is refreshingly honest about how, even though he was a very successful businessman prior to beginning Liberty, was naïve about how tough it would be to create the exemplary school he envisioned.

“My hope is that my right and wrong choices, and some hard-learned lessons over the years will benefit parents and entire schools, private or public,” he said.

Haire’s witty yet heartfelt work is for anyone wanting to know behind-the-scenes story of how a school like Liberty, which has been described as “The Model,” makes a profound difference in the lives of its students every day.

For those interested, the book can be purchased at Liberty’s reception desk for $15. It will be available on Amazon in the coming weeks.
