On Tuesday, Oct. 26, the Fossil Ridge High School hosted a varsity girls and JV boys tournament at Willow Springs Golf Course in Haslet. The two Liberty girls who entered in the event played extraordinarily well, with senior Maria Manrique winning the tournament with a three under par at 69. Junior Kelsie Finch finished second with a 76. The girls play again at Trophy Club hosted by Byron Nelson High School on Monday, Nov. 8.

For the boys, freshman Collin Stephenson shot a 95, the lowest score from the 10 Liberty boys who entered the tournament. The JV boys play again this Monday, Nov. 1, at Trophy Club hosted by Byron Nelson High School.

The Guyer Varsity Robson Ranch Tournament finished on Saturday, and Liberty freshmen Javier Manrique played very well and finished second in the medalist scores with a two over par at 74.

Overall, the team was back in the middle of the field. Senior Ty Dunlap did not play due to a shoulder injury but should return in a few weeks.

Last week, the Liberty junior varsity boys golf team, along with some Liberty freshmen, played in the Fossil Ridge High School JV tournament. Three teams consisting of 15 boys competed, and they swept second, third, and fourth places in the tournament.

Congratulations Warriors!
