Theatre Competes with “All the Way Home” and Places Second

Last weekend, Encore competed in the Regional One-Act Theatre Festival in San Marcos with its play “All the Way Home” by Tad Mosel. After a fantastically moving performance, Encore placed second in the competition and will advance to the state one-act contest on Tuesday, Nov. 30, in Carrollton.
Individual awards were given to the following students:
- Honorable Mention Cast – senior Lizzy Cook and freshman Ross Earley
- All-Star Cast – senior Nick Edwards, freshman Austin Mann, sophomore Malyn Porter, and junior Ryan Wilkerson.
The 18 members of Encore all conducted themselves beautifully and professionally during the entire trip, and Mr. Holland and I could not be more proud of them.
