After starting district 2-0 with victories over Nolan Catholic and Bishop Lynch, the Warriors had a three-game skid against first place Prestonwood, second place John Paul, and third place Bishop Dunne. The Warriors had their backs to the wall and were put in a must-win situation against Trinity Christian last night in Addison.

The Warriors began the game with a 12-6 run, which was followed by an 8-0 run that put TCA up by two points at the end of the first quarter. During the second and third quarters, the Warriors regained the lead and managed to build a 10-point lead midway through the fourth quarter.

Big three-point shots were knocked down by seniors Kyle Kuykendall, Erik Heidelman, and Hunter Dansby, as well as key defensive rebounds by Brad Horton. The Warriors were once again led by a strong performance by Kuykendall who finished with 27 points, followed by Heidelman and Dansby who added 13 and 11 points respectively.

The Warriors do not have a game on Friday and will spend the remainder of the week preparing for the second round of district, beginning with Nolan Catholic on Tuesday evening at LCS on Jan. 25. The Warriors are currently fourth place in district with a 3-3 record.
