The freshman class at Liberty benefit every year by traveling for two to three days to tour colleges in the Texas/Oklahoma region.

“Each year, this trip enhances the students’ view of college and their desire to attend a four-year university,” said Tim Sanchez, Liberty academic advisor.

During the tour of colleges, students will learn specific information on the various campuses regarding course requirements, grade point average, class rank, transcripts, and the importance of leadership, community service, and involvement in student organizations. They will also learn about the college admissions process.

Liberty academic advisor Toni King added, “After participating in this tour, students will have a good grasp of what is expected of them in high school.”

Students depart on Monday, March 21, and will travel that day for tours at Abilene Christian University and Howard Payne University. Tuesday’s itinerary includes visiting Baylor University and Texas A&M before returning to Liberty that evening.

Ten staff member chaperones will accompany the students on the trip, which always proves to be an important, memorable milestone in a student’s life at Liberty.
