Students Win Medals at Science and Engineering Fair
Seven Liberty Middle School students competed against 900 other projects at the Texas Science and Engineering Fair (TSEF) in San Antonio April 1–3.
Three students received medals in their respective categories of science:
Cameron Brasher – Fourth Place: “Oil Drill! Oil Spill!” – Environmental Science
Meghan Rosprim – Fourth Place: “Filtration Anticipation” – Engineering: Mechanical and Bioengineering
Hunter Snowden – Third Place: “Video Game Player: Couch Potato or Athlete?” – Medicine and Health Science
Other Liberty TSEF qualifiers included Dakota Sanchez, Megan McDivitt, Camille Trimble, and Coleton Vick.
In addition, Hunter Snowden was nominated for the National Broadmaster’s Award. Only 10 percent of the winners were given this award, which allows students the opportunity to apply online, through a series of essays, for the International Science Fair.
“Congratulations on a job well-done!” said Heather Lytle, science department chair.
