Students Win Awards in NCTC Writing Contest
On Friday, April 15, 10 Liberty students received awards in the North Central Texas College Annual Writing Contest.
In the Middle School Short Story Division, congratulations to Mary Jane Stidham, first place; Meagan Dealy, third place; and Todd Deetjen and Kyleb Howell, honorable mention. These students are from Nancy Perry’s seventh grade English class.
In the Middle School Poetry Division, congratulations to Matt Mullen, who won second place and is an eighth grader in Claire Batey’s English class.
In the High School Short Story Division, congratulations to Austin Mann and Jacob Quast, honorable mention, who are in Ruthie Quam’s ninth grade English class.
In the High School Short Story Division, congratulations to Joshua McAlister, first place; Kristin Smith, third place; and Cassie Okland, honorable mention. These juniors are in Debra Cook’s English class.
In the Adult Short Story Division, congratulations to Liberty English teacher Ryan Barnhart who won second place.
