Mobi View Technology Comes to Liberty
The Mobi View, an interactive whiteboard, is being introduced in Middle School science classrooms at Liberty.
Liberty ATS Coordinator Lisa May said, “We wanted our science teachers to have the latest technology that would enable them to give demonstrations of complex scientific concepts.
“The student response systems are a powerful and innovative tool to add to a teacher’s repertoire. It promotes learning that is interactive and involves problem solving.
“Technology can be a great tool for increasing student motivation. If students are engaged and able to connect to real-life situations, they are more interested, and they will learn more. It is that simple.”
This eInstruction technology gives teachers the ability to instantly capture, grade, report and analyze student performance data.
Liberty teacher Barbara Snowden said, “Using Mobi allows me to have instantaneous feedback to indicate if my students understand the subject matter.
“With the use of Mobi, I can tell which students need more attention and where they need help. This not only makes me a more effective teacher, but it also gives students immediate feedback as well.”
eInstruction’s research-based solutions have been shown to increase student engagement and achievement while providing real-time actionable feedback and performance data to educators.
Liberty teacher Doris Trinh said, “I love this innovate interactive whiteboard. The features offer a student-centered learning experience. One enthusiastic student responded, ‘Cool, now this is how I learn!’”
May concluded, “We would love to have this technology across disciplines as we receive more funding. Technology is so essential, and it has revolutionized the way we live our daily lives. Research has shown that technology in the classroom improves lectures, increases flexibility of presentations, and enhances the curriculum.”
