The dirt is moving around Liberty Christian School! All summer, construction crews and bulldozers have been creating additions, updates, and expansions to the school to accommodate Liberty’s growth and to continue to provide students with the best in education.

Kimberly Kevlin, director of Campus Planning and Design, said, “We are very excited to work on this next step in our long term master plan for Liberty Christian School. We are being very proactive in meeting the needs of our current students while planning for generations to come.”

In academics, construction currently underway adds eight additional classrooms, and for athletics, additions include a new weight room, a wrestling practice facility, and coaches’ space. This construction also adds much-needed parking spaces. This project is set to be completed by February 2012.

In construction coming soon that is set to be completed by April 2012, Liberty’s fine arts department will be enhanced by the building of a state of the art black box theater, an additional choir and ensemble room, and two more art rooms. This expansion will also include improvements to the existing band hall, music lab, and the Middle and Lower School choir and drama classrooms.

This project will also expand Liberty’s existing Commons, the main entrance and center of the school. The Commons is Liberty’s “living room,” the community hub of the school where Liberty students and families come together to meet, have lunch, and enjoy each other’s company.

Stay tuned for more exciting expansion updates from Liberty Christian School as it seeks to provide students every year with an exemplary Christian college preparatory education.
