Liberty Christian senior Tim Douglass was named Church’s Scholar of the Week on Chevrolet’s Inside High School Sports. Tim plays football and basketball and participates in the Key Club, a Kiwanis International High School Program.

Liberty’s head football coach and athletic director, Greg Price, said, “We are very proud of the young man that Tim Douglass has become. He is an outstanding student in the classroom, and a hardnosed football player on the field – a natural born leader. He has earned the respect of his teammates by his conduct and his spiritual maturity, which makes him a great role model for young men all over our campus. We are certainly blessed to have Tim Douglass on our team.”

Tim’s football defensive coach, Rick Gailey, said, “Tim’s hard work in the classroom translates to his work ethic in football. He is a very smart football player that allows him to make plays that others can’t. It is good to see Tim get this recognition.”

Tim is also a member of Liberty’s Spanish National Honor Society, and is a mentor for Middle School students in a program at Liberty called Impact. In addition to being a camp counselor for Sports World, he has been on mission trips with Liberty, one of which helping a Christian school in Limerick, Ireland.

Liberty Christian congratulates Tim and is proud of his academic and athletic achievements.
