Christmas Concert to Benefit Denton Christian Preschool
Liberty Christian invites its families and the surrounding communities to its Christmas concert titled “The Jesus Gift,” performed by the Liberty Chorale and Middle School Theatre next Monday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m.
The Chorale will be dressed in period costumes and sing songs based on scripture from the Bible. The program will begin with a duet of “Mary Did You Know,” followed by choral pieces “Estampie Natalis,” “To Him We Sing,” “This Little Babe,” and “Dormi Jesu.”
The Middle School Musical Theatre will sing “The Jesus Gift” by Gilbert M. Martin and “Praise the King,” written by Josh Williams, Liberty’s Middle School principal.
The concert will also serve as a fundraiser for the Denton Christian Preschool, which provides childcare to low income families in Denton. Cost of admission to the concert is dried goods for the preschool, such as rice, pasta, dried beans, pasta sauce, ramen noodles, peanut butter and fruit cups, or a monetary donation to the preschool.
