DanzTeam to Perform in Televised Parade
Liberty Christian’s DanzTeam will perform Saturday, Dec. 3, in the 24th annual Children’s Medical Center Holiday Parade in downtown Dallas. The DanzTeam, a part of Liberty’s Fine Arts Department, has marched in the parade every year for more than a decade, but this year is the first for team members to perform.
“Liberty’s DanzTeam will be in the finale with Santa Clause,” said Julie Price, DanzTeam director. “We will practice all day Friday to make sure we are ‘TV ready’ for Saturday’s big performance.”
The parade, sponsored by Capital One Bank and Pizza Hut, raises money for the Child Life Department at Children’s. Families are invited to festivities that will feature marching bands, magical holiday floats, and a performance by Jordin Sparks.
The parade will be televised live on WFAA-TV Channel 8 in Dallas/Fort Worth at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
