As a mark of quality that signifies its commitment to educational excellence, Liberty Christian School was recently awarded continuing accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), an accreditation division of AdvancED.

“Accreditation demonstrates that we are focused on student achievement by providing an enriching learning environment staffed by highly qualified educators,” said Liberty Christian Founder and President, Dr. Rodney Haire.

SACS CASI provides nationally recognized accreditation, the purpose of which is continuous school improvement and increased student performance. To earn accreditation, schools must meet SACS CASI’s high standards, be evaluated by a team of professionals from outside the school, and implement a continuous process of school improvement. Accreditation is granted on a five-year term.

“SACS CASI Accreditation is a rigorous process that focuses the entire school on the primary goal of creating lifelong learners. Liberty Christian is to be commended for engaging in this process and demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement,” said President/CEO of AdvancED, Mark A. Elgart.

As a part of the accreditation process, Liberty received numerous commendations, including:

  • The vision, mission, core values, and family atmosphere are an integral part of the culture and daily operations of the school;
  • The school offers extensive services and balanced curricular and extracurricular programs to enhance the development of the whole child;
  • Students feel valued and loved by the teachers and staff;
  • The school offers many leadership opportunities for teachers and students;
  • The school uses College Board materials to improve academic rigor;
  • Professional development is a priority of the school, and teachers engage in training targeted to their teaching assignments;
  • The school takes a varied approach to measure instructional effectiveness;
  • The school does an excellent job of celebrating student achievement in all areas of academics, athletics, and fine arts; and
  • Board members provide expertise in many areas that positively impact future strategic planning.

SACS CASI accreditation is recognized across state lines, which not only eases the transfer process as students move from accredited school to accredited school but also assures parents that the school is meeting nationally accepted standards for quality and success.
