The Liberty Swim Team’s State meet was held Saturday, Feb. 6, in the Woodlands, and we have two State Champions! Junior Alex Christensen won the 100 butterfly, and his brother, freshman Bradley Christensen, won the 1 meter diving. Bradley set a meet and state record with his dive score, and Alex broke his own school record in the butterfly at 56.66.

It is also very exciting that four Warrior relays made it back for finals during the meet:

• Girls 200 medley relay: sophomores Caroline Walls, Marcy Morgan, Marissa Marrs, and Maile Curbo
• Girls 200 free relay: sophomore Marissa Marrs, junior Taylor Gilstrap, sophomore Megan Perley, and senior Miranda Palmer
• Girls 400 free relay: sophomore Caroline Walls, junior Taylor Gilstrap, sophomore Megan Perley, and senior Miranda Palmer.
• Boys medley relay: freshman Bradley Christensen, sophomore Jorrden Sheridan, junior Alex Christensen, and sophomore Steven Murphy.

Individual finalists included senior Miranda Palmer, sophomore Caroline Walls, junior Alex Christensen, and freshman Bradley Christensen.

These are just a few examples of the amazing weekend the swim team had. Warrior fans can be proud of their Warrior swimmers and divers! They represented our school in an excellent way.
